About us
It is the people that make this company what it is. And here they are.

Kenworthy Electric Inc. is a family owned and operated business with three generations currently involved on a full-time basis. We have been in the full service electrical contracting business for over 35 years. This company has seen many changes throughout the years but one thing never changes-the quality of workmanship that goes into everything we do. Our staff strives to give perfection on everything from service to billing.
Mary Kenworthy
Mary is our longest lasting employee, actually one of the original founders of the company. As the saying goes "No job is finished until the paper work is done." This is the one person that finishes every job we do. Her job duties are too immense to list here but some of them are bookkeeping, payroll, billing, keeping the boss on task (one of her hardest tasks) and answering the phone-which can be a full-time duty in itself some days. We are very lucky to have such a devoted person on our team. Even though she lives in the office (literally) she still finds time for knitting, sewing, gardening, and family-which could be a full-time pursuit as she has five children, 10 grandchildren, and the great grandchildren just keep coming.
Randy Witt

Randy is our next longest lasting employee, spending over 15 years with the company (although he did have about a two-year sabbatical to pursue a career in aviation). Randy currently holds a Master Electrician license in Montana and has been a licensed electrician for over 12 years. He completed the Montana State Apprenticeship program in less than three years, which is not surprising because he is one person that can stay on task very well. I am sure that the thought crosses his mind that had he stayed in the Air Force or stayed with his former employer (UPS) he would be retired by now. We feel fortunate that he is with us instead
Brian Verhow
Brian is a Ruby Valley native, which is becoming harder and harder to find these days. After going off to the Gallatin valley to seek fame and fortune in the gravel and concrete
business, Brian decided to come back home. We are certainly glad he did. Brian adds spunk to our business and brings many talents with him also. He joined the Kenworthy Electric team in 2002 and currently holds a Montana State Journeyman License. We are very proud of Brian for the completion of the IEC Apprenticeship Program, to which he was very faithful and committed. That program consisted of driving to Bozeman, Montana, one night every week to receive his classroom theory and lab education and also maintaining a 40-hour workweek for his practical.
Colter Kenworthy
Colter is the youngest member of our team. He helps out around the shop doing some of the jobs that nobody else wants to do-like cleaning the bathroom and mopping the floor. He likes to strip our scrap copper so he can get a cut in the draw when we sell. He also likes to clean up after the guys finish roughing in a job. His size makes him convenient for certain tasks like getting into tight spaces or reaching through small holes with his hands. Colter has also shown interest in our new product line of solar photovoltaics as shown in this photo with his 6th grade science fair project.
Dan Kenworthy
After graduating from Butte Central High School, I chose to go to the Butte Vo-Tech (currently Montana Tech College of Technology). I received a two-year degree in Welding Technology, which landed my first job as an electrician outside of my father's business.
I worked as a welder for the electrical crew on a Golden Sunlight Mine construction project; the company I crewed for is now one of my competitors. I tried my hand at many different things in the early years of my working days-like truck driving, equipment operating, signman, welder, laborer and I was even a janitor for a while. I feel fortunate to have worked under my father for all the years that I did and I feel that that education is worth more than any doctorate degree from any college or university.
My dad was the founder of this company and was a Master Electrician in more ways than just having the license to prove it. I would like to be able to live up to his standard of excellence in our trade. I have learned through the years that you have never completed your education until you die. As electricians we see our industry constantly changing and we must change with it and continually educate ourselves. In my company I not only pursue that education for myself but for my employees (team members) as well. We all go above and beyond the requirements set forth by the state to maintain our Continuing Ed Credits for our license renewals. I currently hold a Montana State Master Electrician License and an Unlimited Montana State Electrical Contractors License.
"I feel very fortunate to have the team members that are listed above because without them this company would not be what it is today. I look forward to a great future with all of them and hope that we can satisfy all of your electrical needs."
